i need to get a new T case for my 89 k5 and im looking in bargain news, what years would i be able to use? i heard 89 has a speedo in it? is that true, or could i used just mostly any 208 case?:doah:

1989 used a 241 T-case which was the first and only year to still use a cable speedo so any 208 will swap in its place otherwise you need a 1 year only t-case if you still want a working speedo without spending more money on items to make it work.

sorry, not trying to be a jerk...but its the 1989 pick up trucks that have the 241 and my k5 has a 208...do u know what i would look for to see if its cable or not?

GM used the NP241 in trucks, suburbans and blazers starting in 1989. 1989 was the only year to use a speedo cable, starting in 1990 they went to electric speedo. All NP208's were a cable speedo and will direct bolt in in place of the NP241.
