I can help if ya want this game. PM me.
If only I had some way to film it, I'd show you guys my version of this game, except in Command and Conquer: Renegade, LOL
You can record it. Look for a program called Fraps.
TTT for a cool game. The brick walls in coyote canyon piss me off though. There's one that I can't get around without wrecking my junk to pieces.
Cool, Fraps seems to have worked reasonably well
I uploaded the movie for you guys, its about 8.8 mb or so. Since fraps only takes 30 second videos, I didn't get all of my playing in till I converted the truck to a lowrider and started doing dougnuts, and noticed that it wasn't recording anymore, lol Make sure you right click and save as -- Streaming off my server will kill it in a real hurry!
Look for renegade.wmv and yes, I know the truck sounds cheesey when it runs. I took the sound of my 89 half ton idling, then added it as the engine noise. Sounds good when the truck isn't moving, but sounds too quiet, and like it has a nasty exhaust leak when you are moving, LOL
I found the truck model online somewhere, then modified it with all the shiny stuff, colored it, changed the grill etc, not to mention doing the work needed to get it working in the game If a guy messes with the vehicle attributes enough, you can get that truck to do a wheelie when you launch. There are mods for the game dedicated to drag racing, oval racing, mountain drifiting etc
Ok....I got 10 pm's about this.
The best way to make it work will be to add me to your AIM list. KidJethro. If you don't have AIM- get it. Unless your email program can accept 90mb files.
yousendit.com sends huge files, and hosts it on their server, but i dont know if they would catch you uploading software like that
clear out your PM's
im getting it as we speak :-)
Ok, it has come to my attenion that some of you guys aren't familiar with WinRAR. WinRAR takes a file/files and compresses it, making it smaller and easier to email/send etc. If you "get" a file from me, it'll be in RAR format, meaning you'll need WinRAR to extract the files. It's a pretty simple procedure. Download the program from here-
Install it. When you have a WINRAR file with the game Insane inside it, just open the RAR file. At the top of the window, click "Extract To". Then navigate to where ever you want to extract the folder- I just put it on the desktop. Click OK. When it's done extracting, you'll have a folder called "Insane" on your desktop. Open the folder and look for a file called "RegSetup.exe". Click and run that. Then to start the game, click the "Game.exe" file. Done.
The Insane folder you'll get is a copy of my folder which has a bunch of custom maps and trucks. White Knight is one, and the RedBull Rock-It is another. IRC is an awesoem map...Also BoulderStrewn.
To unlock the hidden vehicles and maps, at the very first screen in the game, before you do anything else, type "ineedmorecars" and hit enter. Then hit escape to bring you back to the first screen. Type "ineedmoremaps" and hit enter. You also have to do both of those to access custom maps and vehicles. Gotta do it everytime you start the game.
can you just zip up the maps and trucks and upload them to yousendit.com so everyone has can play
I guess I could do that.
How the hell does yousendit work? It says I need to enter an email address to send to? How do I make that available to everyone?
send it to yourself or firstname.lastname@example.org and it gives you a link to post for everyone
OK I'm gonna host a group in like 5 minutes, who has a cool crawler map and wants to send it to me?
EDIT: I'm looking for slick rock or moab or something, I have Copper and the Jedi map.
I have Moab it's kind good for crawling and I have a rock comp map and a ton of trail maps
If anybody wants to join in, PM me for my IP addy.
