this is another setup that i think would work fairly well, the only down side i really see from it would be the price

No, the pinion isn't moving rearward in the truck. Its trying to rotate up which puts the shackle in tension/compression.

X2 what Chris said. The shackle or slip in the design is to allow the axle to move through its "arc" as the suspension cycles.

the wraptor is sweet and i love kerts products but i really dont understand why if your gonna spend that much money you just dont go to links...if your buying a bling piece like a wraptor and backbone then your prolly running bilstien shocks and a nice flip...your over halfway there to links..is it just because there isnt that much tech here on it?or is it cause there is more street trucks than trail trucks?any hardcore wheeler will tell you go link and dont look back...i think the core group here on leaves are already going or wanna go links so imo all the time spent on leaves and building your truck around it (wheelbase, traction bar, driveshafts) its all wasted time...

see formud is a buddy of mine and he is still on leaves and is a core wheeler but he is gonna stay on leaves casue if he had links he would get himself in trouble by hitting lines he generally wouldnt..i can buy that but what about everyone else...mabye its just me but i dont see the point in dropping over 1000 bucks in a leaf spring suspention..

So is there a certain lenght the bar. I like the blue bar set-up, seems to more out of the way then the gray tube set-up. I run a short bed, with stock springs and a 6 inch shackle flip, I have horrible wheel hop. would this cure it. what kind of bushings are u guys using or do i need to go to an eliptocal set up

You can probably get lot's of specific information on anti wrap bars from the jeep guys. I saw a aftermarket longarm kit that kept the antiwrap (upperlink) bar so close to the rear driveline it provided lots of protection as a skid bar from rocks

Diy wraptor parts along with my crossmember. Shackle design with a bearing built into the bar. I have made one with a heim joint and it worked well also.

just a quick note, you can build your own bushings pretty dang cheap. from ck5 vendor 4wheelingplus you can get a set of energy suspension bushings, then just get a piece of tube and chop it down to size and you're good to go. i'm ordering a set from them tomorrow to build hinges for a swing down bumper. i think it's the cheapest set of bushings i've found, so probably great for this purpose, but probably not so great for spring bushings. :dunno:

how bout some front setups?

x2. I was thinking the same thing, but I've never seen a front anti-wrap bar. I just figured it was because the majority of your wrap is seen on the rear axle because of the weight transfer. That and up front you would be more limited because of space issues unless you hang it down low. Anyway I would like to see some as well if anybody has done one
