Anti-Skip not Anti-Skipping...

My Jensen CD315X is supposed to have anti skip, yet it skips real bad on some of the bumps around town that my portable CD player WITHOUT anti-skip has no problem on... Any ideas????

I hate to say this but Jensen is not one of the better audio companies as far as performance is concerned. You might want to check to make sure it's installed tight. Also, check the obvious, your CD's. If those aren't it and your still having problems, take it back.

Is it mounted horizontally in the dash.....or vertically (like in a Tuffy-style console?)

It may not be desinged to run vertically.....just a thought.
