Hey there,
Just curious to see if I'm the only CK5'r from Wisconsin. I was born and raised in North Eastern Wi., about 60 miles north of Green Bay. I left for about 20+ year's, (the Military), and I retired back at home in Nov. 2004. Just checking !

Where at in Wisconsin? I'm from A very small town 8 miles north of Suring Known as Breed, just about 12 miles south of Mountain off of HWY 32. If you want to think of it different way I'm 60 miles north of Green Bay.

Yea, I know where you're at. My brother used to live down in Waukesha. I was born in Hartford and lived by Holy Hill until I was 2. My Dad was raised around Friese Lake and my Mother @ Holy Hill.

I am on the otherside of the state near Eau Claire.
Cool! What kinda rig are you and MudHound running? I've got an 83 K5, I still have a "brand" new 1981 CJ-5 also. It's completley rebuilt, far from stock. The K5 is work in progress.

I started life as a Jet engine Mech. I moved into the "black world" around 1987. stayed there until I retired in 2004. Lots of fun, lots of injuries. I joined in 1984. I was 17. Yes, I'm 41 now and the VA knows me by my first name !!

We're finally warming up. I buryed my 2000 k3500 today Had to pull it out with my CJ. Disgraceful yes I know. I was hauling a load of fire wood and got buried. Fell right through the crust and had 14 inches of snow under my undercarriage. I was focked! Everything is getting better around here though.

I run a 78 K10, or whats left of it. Has SBC 400, TH350, homemade 205/203 doubler, Dana 60/14 bolt, welded f/r, hydraulic steering, square d-shafts, 4" lift, and 38.5" boggers.

Currently its under the knife, axles have been moved 6" forward, getting a flat belly skid, boatsided and a some tube thrown at it.

From Milwaukee. Yeah i agree not so many Wi. guys here. Kinda odd if ya ask me. Im trying to get a K5 rebuilt but having some issues. I need to find someone that has a welder and can weld. Im about to pick up a bit of sheet metal to to a complete rear patch job on my 89. trying to get it back on the road. Also wanna know anyone know a good place to find the tailgates. Most of the junk yards want 300 and up for a tailgate that has rust and not sure if the window works. Ive got a spare motor but thats it.

I have a brand new tailgate and rear floor panels I ordered from JcWhitney. They're good pieces and I didn't pay a hell of a lot for them. I think the tailgate was under $200.00 for a new one.
