any one running the dakota m/t loadrange "e"

No experience with them but I will say I am very pleased with my Dunlop Rover Max traction on my duramax. I ran firestone destination MT's last year they were great in mud, but snow down right dangerous. Much happier with the dunlops.

stock bolt on fit 235/85/16 on rear and fat front 265/75/16 . and if you work it a tiny bit 255/85/16 can be used on these as its taller than 235/85/16.

if spacers in the rear watch for getting a hub centric spacer to keep the drw outer center rim centered for no vibration problems. as the drw hub has limited length of the hub centric part and if spacer used then it moved the rim off that.

Dunno about the new pattern but the Pep Boys tires used to be made by Cooper Tire. Heard they were good stuff but when I lived where Pep Boys was I knew a guy at a tire place and got them at cost so never bought any.

jek, did you sipe your tires? I sipe all my MT's and love them in the winter.

call around to few tire stores. thay are not as popular but are out there.

here is c&c 14ff with 255/85/16 and just flatbed for weight on the truck on the ground. cooper s/t :D

couldnt get my finger inbetween the tires. so if heavy load tires might rub sidewalls. = not good extra heat possible blow out.

235/85/16 = 31.50-31.75 overall dia average.

255/85/16 = 33.0-33.25 overall dia average.

all stock no spacers anywere. if spacer used would kick the rim off the hub center part of the drw to make the rim possible wobble down the road.

considering the trucks going to be more my dd then anything else 255/85R16 would look bad as hell. on it and fill the wheel well like i want.

the more i think of it . . .

if i had a spare set of drw hubs i would give them to a machine shop friend and have them turned down then get a sleeve made to press over the hub to make the hub center area longer. so we can run taller tires but keep the hub center. and use almost any spacer we want.

i saw 1 set of steel spacers with the lip for keeping the rim centered. over 300 bucks for the 2" thick spacers and the paper thin centering ring didnt sit well with me.

really liking the the look of the cooper 255/85R16 over the mk2 but the tire ware seems to be about the same for both from what i have been reading. 40000 miles to 45000

seen a few sets hold up real good on coopers.

and i put coopers on my mommys rid if that tells you anything. . . .
