anybody ever seen rear diffs like this

Not too sure If I like how thats done. But hey it works for him I guess. I shure wouldn't depend on it though. Ive seen it done with a transfercase before, and I think thats what the dood was going for.
 
looks like he put a sprocket on the driveshaft, has a chain running from it to above the diff to another driveshaft, which goes to the 2nd diff. crazy
 
there just standard 8.25" chrysler diffs too. even crazier than that, look at the suspension setup :eek1:
 
I saw a 6x6 last summer that had a modified NP206 mounted to the front rear axle pinion w/ a 2nd shaft running the rear rear axle. Surfed around a little bit at the time and found that there was a kit to do that. Not sure if it is still available, but it was interesting.

No those are the stock 9.25" rear ends.... The 8.25s are more round with a flat bottom than the 9.25"..
