SO I just bought this Blazer. I brought it home and checked everything out. I crawled underneath and spun the driveshaft and noticed it hit a hard spot. Well I pulled it out and figured out the slip yoke wasn't slipping. After about 1 hour and beating the crap out of it with a 5 pound sledge the slip yoke is still in the exact same place. I am looking for a replacement or trying to find a place that can cut the end off and weld new splines on and buy a new slip yoke. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks

You can try the wanted section or the for sale section, but without knowing how long it is and which type, it'll be hard for people to know what you need. ;)

Any local driveshaft shop should be able to repair or replace the bad one.

ok I am a retard. It is the front axle out of my 90 blazer. I can't post in the wanted section without being a member can I? Sorry I am new here.

Call Curtis at Tattons driveline service---801-685-0056.

Assuming you are in the salt lake area.......

Hey thanks I will give Curtis a call tomorrow. I am in Stansbury Park but close enough.

You are in Stansbury? Yep, talk to Curtis, he will do a great job for you. With one that new it should also be possible for you to run out to Westside and pick up a shaft to use if cost becomes an issue.

Welcome to the board. The nice thing is with one that new there should be plenty of options for finding a used one in a bind. It isn't so easy with mine. Give us some pics of the Blazer, and if you need any help at any time just post up here. I am not far from you so I can help out if you run into issues.

Hey thanks for all the help guys. Yep right here in good old Stansbury. I picked this Blazer up as a project for my wife and I. She wanted to learn more about cars so I figured this was a good way to do it. I used to be a Diesel Mechanic but then got moved into plant maintenance so I get to have all my tools sitting in my garage. Have a compressor and air tools now I just need to buy a welder. I will try to post up pics when I get some time. I will run out to westside and see what they have. I need to kick this project in gear because I just helped my brother drop a FI 460 out of a 92 F350 into his '79 Bronco. Now he wants me to go where ever he goes.
