Why must the floor be flat? just wondering

Was looking at the pics, is the floor got some of that shape to clear the saddle tanks. If so you would have to do a raised floor to make it flat, and it still wouldn't be that easy. I'm with you Ryoken that is more then a few hour job.
Paul leave it alone first. Get it running and driving and registered.
Then start redoing it.
From the looks of you Blazer you cant just slap in a piece of steel and call it good. Which is not a bad thing. As much as how cool your blazer is with all the amazing things you have done. There are only a select few who have ever seen it. With it sitting in your dungeon on stands that number is not getting any larger.
Just don't start another serious project I guess is what I am saying.

depending on your lift, maybe have some sort of fold out step too. I know my dog had trouble making the jump as he got older.good point.... that's why I was thinking the raised floor for good window access... I'll do some sort of dogbed thing.. maybe do that as another again raised section in the middle...

obviously I wont be doing any of this till I have the pooch, so it'll be down the road a bit, probably a project for next summer... the flatbed and lift/tires will done already... I'm sure I'll have a better idea of what will work best at the time...

That is exactly how I build things.I've always wanted to spend some time and come up with a modular system.
Seats could quickly be dropped in. Perhaps a box for gear or a rack for some rifles. Same could be done for the dog and then it is easily removable for the clean up.
One certainty, the back seat is smaller than it may seem from those photos. Once the front seats are in it gets narrow fast. Back doors are also narrow which makes getting big things in and out alot more difficult.
it should be fun and good.Back doors are also narrow which makes getting big things in and out alot more difficult.
this rig'll have a rear winch, no front...I actually think for me a rear winch is what I need, because if I get stuck the best way out is to back it up, I don't want to get further in, but that is not what most 4wheelers want, they use the winch to conquer sections they can't with their rig.thus perfect for a dedicated pooch palace... it'll pick up a bit of width with the back seat out too...
I'm contemplating MASSIVE relocated battery power utilizing said obtained space...this rig'll have a rear winch, no front...
