Never going to go much bigger on my tires. 35's max. Already have 3.73's, the big rear drums, 30 spline shafts, and a Detroit sitting waiting for the install in the rear. Wouldn't mind some better diff covers than the factory sheet metal. Want some beef stuff just in case I do kiss a rock, stump, small car, whatever with it.

I've been hasseling Gravelmaker at RuffStuff for a year or so now. It's on the list he says but they are busy making their existing products. I'm waiting but just want to see if anyone else has one?

Interesting. I'd kinda like a whole cover but those would work. Comes powdercoated too...

Eh, aluminum. I always think of that test 4-Wheel & Off-Road did 8 or so years ago on all the covers and how craptacular all the aluminum diff covers did. Thanks though.
Blue torch fab makes them
More what I'm after. Kinda hard on my budget though.

Wondering what the 88-99 part refers to?

Hrmmmm...never thought of that. Looks like they already make a kit...PM sent!

Thanks for the suggestion.:thumb:

I own a stick welder and have next to no idea how to use it. I can probably get it working and would only succeed in getting the rod stuck to the metal continuously. Learning to use the thing is on my list but FAR down it right now.

DIY4x only makes the DIY kits so no go for me.
RuffStuff isn't seeing the 10 or 12 bolt covers happening anytime soon at all.

However Rockcrusher now has 10 bolt diff covers. Liking what I'm seeing.

How do you assemble the kit from Diy4x? It ends up with a flat top and you bend up some material to make the sides?

Was kinda wondering that myself. No clue actually. Maybe that's the outer "face" and you supply the metal that joins the ring and the "face"?

Kert made me a rock ring for my 10B. Basicly the ring pictured above with a strap of 1/4" that followed the ring gear. Bolted on over the stock cover. Worked great!

Yeah, he mentioned those. I'd like to do a whole cover personally. Good alternative though.

Call RANDYS Pinion.. That is where I got mine. It says T/A on it, so not sure who its made by. But its heavy duty aluminum.

Made by T/A performance.

But, any aluminum cover isn't going to do well against a boulder.
Yep. Not a fan of the pretty aluminum covers because of this. Like I said earlier...remember that magazine article in 4-Wheel & Off-Road in 2003 or so where they took all the popular covers of the time and mistreated the hell out of them? ALL the aluminum covers failed badly.
