Anyone bought a bolt starter kit?

Well I haven't bought one, but I have used those types of storage my whole carrier and is probably the best way to do it. I did pick up fixture like that at the swap meet a Lawson one, I need 3 more I think to cover enough sizes.

last winters project.... bought the racks and sorted all the 3 lb coffee cans i had filled over the yrs.

I was lucky and got two racks of bins that have partitions (so you can have multiple items separated but in one bin) from a closed store, but I've found anymore I generally don't need massive numbers of bolts. If I do for a specific project I just buy that specific size in bulk for that project. What I really need is less quantity, and more variety. Maybe 8 of every size. I like having fine and coarse thread, stainless and non, a couple of grades, plus nylon locking nuts and non-locking. Even different diameter washers are handy at times. As little as I use them, a complete assortment of metric would still be handy too.

Still have the hunt and peck, used bolt bucket, but it's a lot easier to grab new stuff out of the bin, and a lot nicer than having to cut down too-long bolts.

I’ve been eyeing that bolt kit setup for a couple of years. Not a bad price at all especially considering the time saved running to the hardware store.

One item I wish I could have inherited from a late friend's shop was a lazy susan style hardware bin rack, that was loaded with tons of various hardware & parts..similar to the one pictured, but the shelves were smaller as they went up,like a cone shape,so the higher shelves didn't block access to the lower larger diameter ones.

Thing must have weighed 1000+ lbs,and would have been a real chore to move...but his brother couldn't wait to scrap everything and the rack..:mad1:

I ordered several of those for my shop at work (railcar repair shop) and it's super handy and sturdy as hell

I’ve always just bought plastic divided bins from China freight. And bought hardware by the pound at TSC.
