Anyone know what this washer is called?

I haven't had time to get work done on the 88 so I had a friend of a friend come over and help me install new hubs, brakes and Mile Marker manual lockout hubs. He got it all apart and started putting it back together and realized I was missing this washer on one side. I'm paranoid about needing it so we are on the hunt for one. It goes right behind the first snap ring from outside to inside.

Looks like #27 in that diagram you posted above. I guess its a spacer not a washer

It’s been many years, but I think that’s the spacer I needed to remove in order for my Warn manuals to fit. Even said in their directions that it may need to be removed.

Thats what I read when I googled I'm pretty sure but isn't that the last line of defense in keeping the wheel on if everything else fails? I truly have zero experience with these front ends

Hmm so this is what it is supposed to look like inside? So just the manual hub splined unit goes in with the large split ring around the inside diameter then the cap bolts onto that and that is all?

Looks good. :waytogo:

And if you put a slight inward bend on the ends of the large hub retainer ring you won’t need a dental pick to fight to get it out.

This is the one I’m referring to. You can see it installed outside the hub a few pics down in this thread if you look carefully.
