Looking for pictures on how your mounted the harnesses for the front seats, would be a 3pt or 4pt bolt in mount and to the cage, but im just curious where the best place to mount them is to support you the best in case of impact? Pics would be even better :thumb:

here are my mounts....

here you can see the shoulder mounts....should be about 4" below shoulder height.

that's not the only thing I borrowed from your build!
Actually Eric figured all that lower mounting out when he was here for build week 2011!

I couldn't find any pics of mine but pretty much the same as Paul and Dave.

My mounting system was tested fairly well this last spring.

I have 2 seperate shoulder belts unlike Pauls and they would move a bit ( I don't have fancy seats just some stock grand cherokee seats) so I just used some solid rod barely enough off harness bar to keep them from moving around.

It worked really well

awesome, thanks a lot guys. everything i was looking for! So with your seats like that, if they have a function to recline, you cant really do that can you? And do you have sliders mounted on them or are they fixed?

Mine reclined to the seatbelt bar, not too far but had some adjustability.

Yes mine were on sliders.

Mounting the seatbelts is like everything else on these trucks, a compromise. Mount them as close to perfect with the person that drives the most often.

Mine recline also, they are from a 2010 SuperDuty, they also fold forward for rear passenger area.

With the belts attached to the anchor point on the shoulder bar, it doesn't really endanger puncturing the seat back....the belts and hardware of the belts provide enough area to not puncture.

I don't really feel safe with only factory belts and seat and my cage
