Anyone Running Cookie Cutter Boggers?

Ok, just to throw a wrench into things, here's the whole story. I went to this guys house to have him weld new spring perches on my 14 bolt. He's been off-roading for 10+ years and has mounds of stuff that he doesn't use and knows people for miles around that do to. He's obviously trying to sucker me into buying some things from him. I asked him about tires, told him I wanted to go with boggers, that it would be a trail rig, he said my thoughts were all good ones but he knew a guy that runs these skinny boggers, $600-$800 for a set of six, all in good shape with a little rash, and all currently mounted on chevy 8 bolt rims (exactly what I need). I showed some interest and I think he's trying to do his friend a favor and get these tires sold for him. I'm not sure I really want that skinny of a tire. HOWEVER...he has an old Warn 8274 sitting on a shelf that's physically too large for his current rig (Toyota) that he wants to get rid of. Buying the used set would allow me to afford that winch. How much would you guys pay for a Warn 8274 in decent condition?

Have you ever run a set, or at least ridden with people who do?

They work fine in the muddy trails here in the midwest, sidehills and all. Lateral traction of a bogger seems to have been blown out of proportion by web-wheelers more than the "Killer Dowl Pin" in the NV4500's.

arew they good? i dont know i havent run them and wouldent still my dd, just looking at them makes me think of lateral stability on a muddy trail that has you a little sideways
