That would be a blast, but I don't know about launching a 4 or 5 ton truck like that. Seems a lot dangerous to me. But if someone else is paying the bills, I would be more than willing to push it to the limits.

Awesome! I love watching all the trucks on the Dakar.
That ain't no converted dumpster though. They're out and out race trucks with the engine in the back and, well....the suspension speaks for itself!
They used to run 2 engines in the back but I'm not sure they still do.
A year or 2 ago they limited the speed of the trucks to 100mph because, although they were started way behind the rest of the field, they'd be overtaking everything in sight.
Even more awesome when you consider that they are also carrying (paid for) spares for other teams, especially the privateer motorcycles and cars.
Kamaz and Tatra have always been the big boys in the desert!

yeh those are awesome. talk about some skill though that would be a ride. those things are built and impressive.
