Ok, we are thinking about making one last 4x4 run to the slab this Sunday the 3rd of December. This will be our last one til after the new year. Anyone interested? I believe Phyte is already in, but what about anyone else? Stoop? Blazerguy? Texan? rick87K5? Sosaman? Let us know asap so we can make plans...

Ya I'm in..

Rocko/Angel.. I have a garage now so I might start on the cross member Sat morning.. I shouldn't have any problem with it myself. I want to come over and check out the garage sell on Sat to see what kinda junk ya got :)

I may be able to make it on Sunday. Hopefully my exhaust kit will come on Friday or Saturday and I can finish it on Saturday. I also still have to install my warn hubs, but if I get it all on, and on time, I wanna go.

Hey guys!

I got your message last night, Rocko, and I was like YES! I wanna go 4x4'ing so bad! So I made plans with my brother to go with me, and then Christina reminded me that I have a wedding to atttend in Houston this weekend

The wedding is on Saturday, so I'm trying to determine if I can get back into town either Sat night, or Sun and morning and hook up with you guys.

Where and when are you planning to meet?

Is the "Slab" worthy of a road trip from Dallas? Is it rocks, mud...? Hard to tell from the pics - anymore pics or detail?

I myself think it's very worth it. Also in 4 WheelParts Wholesalers magazine they put out every month, they have a article on the Slab. So it's a very popular place among off roaders here.
There was so much more we could have explored.. but we ran out of time since we were checking out other areas out.

Hope you can make it.. Doesn't appear alot of people are replying. So far Jason, us and maybe you ... if you get your truck done.
Don't worry.. you won't tear up your truck.. none of us did last time. Oh yeah and Stoop is going to try and make it back from Houston.

WOOHOO!! My transfer case is good!! I installed that cross member tonight and it straightened things up nicely. I went for some mud but the front wheels still didn't spin in the mud. I got under the blazer and tried to turn the front drive shaft when it was in park, but it was definitely locked. I put it back in 2H and got under it and it turned freely.. I said to myself.. man it has got to be going into 4WD.. I jacked up all 4 tires and put it in drive, made sure it was really stable before I got out, and then took a peek under. Sure as hell the front drive shaft was spinning like mad, but the tires weren't moving. It has goooot to be bad hubs right???? Right?? Do you have a set sitting around that I could buy from you? I don't care if there manual for now, I will get some Warn or Super Winch hubs for christmas. I want to have 4WD for sunday.. There is nothing else it could be right???

Got your email. I'd love to go but I'm not sure if I can make it. I know it would be sometime Sunday afternoon before I could get there. I've also got to get some work done on my skidsteer loader this weekend and I don't know if the guy that's gonna' help me is available on Sat. or Sun. yet (can't turn down free help!). Where about's do you turn off of 29 at? If you can e-mail me some directions I'll see what I can do to break loose Sunday...

Just go to Pep boys.. they sell the warn premium for 60 bucks or so. I have a spare set of Auto hubs.. but who wants them...lol

And Texan... got your message.. sure hope you can make it.. Cheri know's the directions better than I do..her parent's live up there. I'll get them from her.. or unless she reads this.

Doesn't look like I can make this weekend, but I will for sure be in the Austin area Jan 26-28 for a Slab run on Saturday (going to be busy on Sunday - Super Bowl!). Let's set it up!
