Auto to manual clutch install

Ok so I am in the process of taking a 82 2wd auto crew cab and putting it on a 74 k20 frame. Now my problem is my getting the clutch petal and other b.s. from the K20 to the crew. From what I have searched all i need to do is remove the colomn and some other stuff to get the clutch assembly out.

My question is will it fit in the crew? And is there and detailed pics/threads of this swap? I have searched and no good threads on it. Also are there any "hiccups" that I should expect?

I have the complete K20 which originally had a sm465 205 combo and I want to keep that combo in the crew.

Should be no hiccups for a mechanical clutch to mechanical clutch swap between those years.

Should bolt in with no problems. The firewall/floor should even be dimpled for the hole for the pushrod. If you plan on using the 82's wiring...some of the column switches might need to be changed.

Ya thats my next big issue is wiring i will probably just get a painless kit or something. Seeing that the 82 cab was a diesel too.
