Anyone know where I can get one for the driver's side? I've searched but I couldsn't really come up with anything. I want a dual battery setup in my K5 and don't know what years would interchange. Any know of anything? Thanks y'all!

I used the tray from the passenger side, took the leg off and made it a 2 piece, then had to cut a bit off, but it fits.

Thanks man, I'll have to look into that. Would you by chance have any pics of it so I can get in idea?

I tried to get some pics, but I can't get any that would do any good. When you get the battery tray, drill the spot welds for the leg, and then take the tray off. On the "leg"(the piece that goes down and bolts to the inner fender), When you flip it to go on the passenger side, you will have a piece of it that won't line up, it will actually stick out from under the tray, it is a piece of the support, I just cut that piece off, then bolted it back to the tray with some carriage bolts.

Yep, got mine from the dealer also IIRC it was something like $33.00

That's even better guys. Do you have the part numbers or just ask for an aux. battery tray for a K5?

GM part number is 15616249 and this fits my 89 blazer and i'm sure a bunch of other years. I tried looking for it on GMpartsdirect but nothing is found so maybe it is no longer available.

The battery hold down retainer is a part number 14005061

Do you have AC? If not you can run the CUCV second battery tray on the pass side instead.

Well I called this morning and the Chevy dealer said the aux battery tray was discontinued but they have the hold downs for it. Not going to do me a lot of good, lol. Anyone have one they are not using? If not I'll just get one from classic Chevy. :D

I have one, but with what I want and the shipping it would cost as much as a new one. :o

Check Pick N Pull I got mine there for $6.00 and it is solid and no rust
We have a"Pull-A-Part" and a "U-Pull-It" down here. I found one on ebay for $9.95 that I'm winning so if this one doesn't pan out I'll give them a shout in the morning. I've got just under 3 hours to go!
