Don't see this discussed much here. thinking about building a 400 Pontiac SB(not for the K5 more like the 69 bird in the driveway). Want a set of Pontiac 400 #16 heads but the cam I am looking towards benefits a lot from some real breathing through heavy port heads. Anyone have an idea how much it might run me?

Getting a set of heads seriously ported can easily set you back 40 hours of shop time. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif A quick pocket porting might run $200-300, but for the hardcore stuff you're gonna have to get out lots of pictures of Ben Franklin. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif That's why the aftermarket makes so many different heads these days. With a CNC machine they can turn out new heads that flow like mad without having a lot of man hours invested in them. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
