I'm not sure why, but Canada is THE hotbed of diabetes research. I canvassed for the local Diabetes Foundation a couple of years in a row after a buddy got diagnosed with it, and found out that one of the premiere research centres is located in Calgary.
Maybe Canada has a lot of diabetics per capita........
well it WAS a canadian who came up with insulin in the first place.
