Axle/tire size/steering

Really depends on what you plan to do with the truck. If you have been driving the truck as is for awhile and everything works okay......does it suddenly stop working okay because an internet forum has comments that it doesn't work? To be honest I don't know of any true "safety" issue with running the stock steering on 37's. I ran up to heavy 38" Swampers with a locker in the front on a primarily off-road truck for years and never felt "unsafe". Eventually swapped to crossover steering but noticed zero difference on the street. The only reason for crossover steering is for off-roading when you get really flexed out....with the stock setup you just have very limited steering range under certain flexed out conditions because of the geometry. To be honest, while crossover lets you still turn in either direction under flex I think it is worse in regards to steering assist (less steering power). I eventually went to the next step and got hydro-assist which is great off-road....but again really no difference on the street, and actually some times when the hydro on the street is a negative because of slow response in some situations. Again to clarify, I am running 39.5x15 tires at single digit pressures and a front locker on tough trails.

Regardless I would get the steering brace and keep an eye on the frame behind the steering box for cracks. These trucks can crack the frame with stock tires.
