What backspacing are you guys running on your 15 inch wheels on a dana 60? If you could post pics, that would be great. Thanks!!

First set I had was 15x8 with 4.25" b/s. Was grinding for awhile. Next set I had were 12" and had 3.5" b/s. They fit fine cause they were cleared for the 4.25 ones. I have a set now that are 4", but not sure if they are going on a 60 or not....Inless your going with 2" or so, gonna havta bust out the grinder....

4.25" with .25" spacers so that would make 4". I'm not sure if your lookin for pics of the grinding or what thet look like on the truck. These are 8" white spokes with 12.5" swampers.

The only wheels I have been able to ifnd have either 4.25" or 2.5" BS. I like the way the truck looks with the wheels sticking out, but I don't really wanna put extra stress on the wheel bearing or the D60 stub shafts. Is 2.5" BS bad?

2.5" of BS is going to put a larger amount of stress on the wheel bearings. This is because the wheels stick out so much further, most of the weight is outside of the bearing races.

15x8 with 2.75" BS. Best of both worlds in my opinion...very little to no grinding to fit on a 60, but don't stick out any further than a 15x10 with the more standard 4-4.5" BS. The tires are 39.5x15 TSL's for reference...plus they hold the beads of the tires better then any non-beadlock wheel (skinny, plus the reverse centers). I've ran 12 psi front/10 psi rear with no problems yet (I knocked the beads off my old 10" wide rims/13" wide TSL's all the time at higher pressures), and a friend (78Buford) runs the same size rims on 42" Swampers on his heavy pig with single digit air pressure and has never lost a bead.

i used to have 15x10's with 3" BS and i really like that with 39.5x13.50 iroks (the tires were too balloony tho). and i would run 8 psi front and rear and didnt have any issues. i did have to grind a little bit on the 60 but it went real fast since it wasnt much. just have a rim you can test fit on there, i didnt have one and it was a pain to keep putting the tire on and taking it back off every time

I run 15X8 with 4.25" backspacing. They took a lot of grinding but I like the way the tires are about a normal offset. Running 37X12.50 MTRs and normally 8# of air offroad and never lost a bead.

I've run 2.75" BS 15"x8" wheels and 3.5" BS 15"x10" wheels.

I like both about the same, the outside of tire to outside of tire measurement is probably pretty close with both.

I like the wide stance and I wouldn't worry about the extra leverage on the D60 wheel bearings.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll go with 2.75. Now it's the problem of finding some on the cheap...

Mine were 2.5" bs 15x10" with 37x12.5 Iroks. I couldn't get used to them sticking out so far so I went with 16"s. A wider tire would have eased my OCD though.
