Ok, so I had my backyard demo'ed this week in prep for the pool going in. About the same time the project Blazer is nearing completion. In fact, I just had the exhaust done and only the interior is left. Hmmm, there are lots of ruts that were left by the Bobcat that need smoothing out and I haven't wheeled in too long.

Got to flex it a little bit to check the length of the shocks, brake hoses, etc. Low and behold, I did find out something that surprised me. I have 6 inches of lift on the front and 35's. I never though I'd have clearance issues but looky here:

I really didn't want to cut sheetmetal, but this isn't a good thing. On a happier note, the neighbors thought I was insane. Keep in mind this is tract home living. Seeing a Blazer ripping around the backyard did cause some sphincter tightening for the neighbors and all the kids came running to watch the fun.

Just like all Blazers (mine included), you need to move the front axle forward a inh or two. Beat the neighbors thought you were a nut but who cares?

You can move the axle forward like Dave mentioned . Or you can cut the edge of the fender where it touches down to the inner fender . And bend the trim to cover and rescrew in :D

Kool.........I thought about uncorking my headers for one special neighbor. Maybe you'll have a mudpit to play in before the get to far done on the pool.

I had the open headers until this week. I fired up the rig several times "just to keep the batteries charged" and shared that sweet sound with the neighborhood. I think they figured it was just my Harley again. Then I had to drive it to the muffler shop with the open headers. I was praying that the local gendarmes were busy busting somebody else while en route.

So, swing Homeslice, holding her purse, at the fender. Maybe I can do a tech write up and get a little wrench on my name with that one..........:haha:
