I gotta take my blazer to work for the first time today and noticed a pretty heavy vibration when you first start out at low speeds. The whole thing has a little vibration once you get passed about 15mph but until then it can be pretty nasty. When you left off the gas it's smooth as glass. Just looking to get some input on what could be causing this. Thanks forgot to add its got six inch springs plus the shackle flip. 52" spring on the front.

So how much lift total? You kinda left us in the dark with rear springs on the front and rear of the truck

I'm not 100% sure. Ill have to do some measuring tomorrow to find out. I think it's the 2.5" though

It is a pretty heavy angle on the rear driveline. it has six blocks and another block that's probably an inch thick. It's not tapered at all so I don't think it's to help with driveline angle. next week I'm getting my front driveline extended so I'll have them check the rear also.

I sure hope you mean 6 springs in the leaf pack. :doah: If you actually do mean there are 6 BLOCKS please remove ALL of them now.

I'm with the others. Sounds like a bad drive angle. Vibe while accelerating and not while coasting means your pinion is probably too high, or you have axle wrap that is bringing the suck. But after reading down the thread, I'm just more confused about your setup.

Best I can tell, you're somewhere between 6" and 22" lifted.....so um....pics or more details would be helpful.

52" 6" lift springs in front. Six inch block in the back with a second non tapered probably 1" block underneath it which i'm going to remove today so sits level.

In that case, I standby my previous webnosis. A shackle flip will angle the pinion upward. This is usually ideal for a CV driveshaft. However 6" blocks (and a 1") will make it worse - plus the taper if it has it. Add to that the axlewrap that 7" of block will give you and it's understandable that you'd have a vibration.

Now for more questions...
1) with 52", 6" lift springs in front and a shackle flip and 6" blocks out back, I'm guessing you're running around a 10" lift. Is this accurate?

2) It seems odd that a truck with 52" front springs would be running blocks in the back - i know - not a question, just an observation.

3) CV or stock driveshaft?

I'm not flaming your truck, but at 10" of lift, you've exceeded the "I'll just bolt this on and the driveshaft should be OK" threshold. I recommend you make the adjustments to make it sit how you want (hopefully this plan doesn't include 6" blocks), and set the appropriate pinion angle for a CV driveshaft (2 degrees down from the drive angle). You'd be surprised at the driveability improvement, I think.

I was wrong about the size of the block in the back it's a 4 inch block. which makes me question the size of my shackles. I just need to do some measuring on everything so I know exactly what it is. I removed the 3\4 inch block last night (they were under the 4 inch blocks and only tapered a 1\16 of an inch and whoever installed them didn't put the taper in the right direction on the passenger side. It made a world of difference with the vibration. Still getting some but it's not violent like it was before. I'll try and get some pictures up of the suspension tonight. Every vehicle I've ever owned has been obd2 (just to give you and idea of why this language is kind unknown for me haha) It has stock driveshaft. Thanks guys:bow:

Yeah, pics are a tremendous help. Glad you're getting it worked out though.

On a final note, If this truck is one you're going to drive/upgrade/wrench on, I strongly recommend the full membership. The $25 dollar fee will often pay for itself on your first upgrade by by telling (or showing) you exactly what you need to know, in a more civilized, non-newb-hazing manner than other sites (pirate).

Good luck with the fix. We're here to help if we can.

sounds like my problem too, but i have a simple 6" lift , blocks on the rear and leafs on the front .. someone told me once there may be a vaccum problem , like a leak or something --anybody have a clue
