Ballistic Fab SUCKS. not impressed. *rant*

Amazing his products are pushed on several of the TV shows. Extreme 4X4 most recently.
Its exposure like these tv shows and the SEMA stuff (if BF goes to them) that they only care about. They know they can get tons of coverage and that translates into thousands of poor suckers like you and me, the blue collar guys, and just rob us blind with their excuses. They probably figure most of us aren't rich enough to afford lawyers so they think they'll get away with it.

But they fail to realize the power of the internet. Word travels. The end of BF is likely to be here sooner or later.

It took over a month to get here, but my parts arrived today. when i first read this thread i was a bit worried about ever getting my parts or money back so i could actually get what i wanted. Now that everything has come in i can't say that i am upset with the company, I do however feel the customer service treated me fairly when i called a week ago to check on my order.
It was at about the one month mark that i called BF to see if they forgot about me. I forget who i spoke to but he was helpful apologized for the long wait then checked with the fab shop to see what the hold up was. He told me it was a due to a wait for material then said it would ship the next day, i will assume they had just forgotten about me. :dunno:. Roughly 5 days later i have parts in hand.
I guess i got lucky and avoided the horror stories i have read about.

Nope. Didn't get nothing for free, just tired of hearing people rant about things today. Thought I would through a positive note in somewhere. I agree with the don't charge till your able to fill the order and list as backordered/out of stock.
I'm just saying that if people would look at what didn't ship and why. The way larger parts manufacturers work now days is build to order. I deal with it in my daily job also. If you've ever had anything machined, plated, than assembled. It never goes as scheduled. Try getting a tool tilt cylinder for a tree feller buncher the day after an operator drops the top of a tree acrossed it. LOL
And as far as the spare parts comment. I will apoligize for that as it is only from experience that heim joints are hard to get a hold of. And since I'm wanting to put a positive note in this thread. Use summit machine for your joints. They build a similiar if not THE ballistic joint.

if you can't get a tilt cylinder repaired or replaced in a day either you're too cheap or you're using the wrong suppliers...work on your vendor relationships and you never have to worry about back orders!

Yeah Summit rocks and so does DIY4X and ORD and East Coast gear all of which have sold me quality products at a good price and quick delivery. Back orders are seldom OK in my book if it isn't in stock I don't order, even if they are the cheapest someone will beat them or come close.

will be interesting to see how that pans out.
i wonder how that would effect their advertisement spots on xtreme4x4 since they get pimped a fair amount on there....
