I think he's talking CK5 logo'd art. Kind of similar to the machined parts I want to do.

It sure could!

Look great Adam. And there you have it. A business selling custom sheet metal art. No cnc required.

I'd love to sell

This was by far the hardest one I've done so far. Circles are far from easy.

You could definitely sell these. Look for local craft shows. Stick w/ the higher end, all hand crafted shows. I could see people buying these for gifts or guys buying them to hang in their garage. Make some kid sized shields, rivet on a couple nylon straps and sell them w/ foam pool noodle or pipe insultion "swords". Make some of those little toolboxes like you messaged me and ladies would use them for gardening and potting, copper would bring a premium.

Make panels out of good stainless and you could market them to the custom kitchen crowd for back splashes above a stove. Look at some higher end lawn and garden centers that build outdoor ovens. These would work well inset into a stone fireplace or chimney. That's big $$$. I have a flat piece of stainless between my stove and hood. I'd would have loved to put something personalized up instead. You could even keep the beading to a minimum w/ just a nice decorative edge. The vinyl masks w/ blasting could give your some really intricate designs. Come up w/ a basic raised panel design and have them ready. Two minutes typing out a few words on the vinyl cutter, stick them on and blast. Instant customized panels. Stoves all come in standard sizes so it would be very easy to make them in advance and have them ready for stencil and blasting.

I love all the ideas.
My brain has just been on overload lately haha, its great.

Yeah a vinyl cutter is one of my next big tool purchases. Im not very good at free hand drawing etc, so it would even save a ton of time on layout. But yeah the sandblast part of it is what first intrigued me about it.

I might try one this weekend, I printed an 11x17 of the logo out the other day just to stair at it. I doubt I can do the little starburst thing at the bottom though. Who knows though, my new embossing die set should be here today I hope. Lots more intricate designs should be able to be had. If not that was a waste of $134 lol.

The flat version may be easier?

Ill give it a try if I can get time this weekend. There is like 25 or more people that want stuff made....

So that's what about $320 looks like...

Rivet tools and supplies check.
Layout tools check
Tipping die and skateboard lower, check (those fockers were $134... Wish I had a mill)

But me and mr tipping die are about to become good friends I think.

I had to go and watch a couple YouTube videos to see what and how a bead roller works...one was a guy named Ron Covell. Wow!

Very cool what your up to Adam! Good job stepping up the game! :waytogo:

I remember when you first came on ck5 with your Bronco ll .... you have learned a lot in a few short years keep it up! :thumb:

I've wanted the Mitler Bros bead roller for some time. One of there days I will have one. What are you shearing your full sheets with? I assume you have a shear?

Ron covell is one of the best. Super nice guy. knows his shit. I learned alot in the day I got to work with him. His videos are good to. Any one looking to get into this type of thing should watch his videos.

Where did you end getting the solid rivet stuff at?

I don't have a shear. I have tin snips and a portaban lol.

I'm getting the blanks cut at work on the laser. They said if I buy the material they would cut it up in chunks for me.

Beags I posted links to all the rivet stuff a few pages back

Wow. I completely missed that post.
I ended up spending about the same as the Eastwood kit. But I got more clecos, the rivet fan, and the punch too. And a few more heads for the air hammer.

That's awesome they will cut it up for you. Most metal shops will do one free cut then charge for additional cutting unless it's only like one extra cut. They will usually do that no charge either. But multiple cuts and you get charged. How thick and what type aluminum are you using?

That rivet fan looks useful. I will have to pick up one of those.

Well they did a 30 sheet run yesterday of this .040 aluminum, so they just tossed my sheets in with those.

I'm not sure what type it is to be honest. I'll have to look it up.
