Behemoth Drivetrain - Strong Box Doublers

I've been successful with the Attorney General in another State over an online transaction like this. Don't wait any longer, you can always cancel the complaint if he delivers the product.

Good luck.

Yep - that's what I'm gonna do now for sure. I just got off the phone with another guy that Jacob has screwed over and he's filing a civil suit. At this point I am through listening to his hollow excuses when he pops up to put me off for just a bit longer.

Fwiw, to those still shopping, I just noticed that Northwest Fab is offering a diy kit similar to the Behemoth kit.

Surprisingly, last visit to this site for the vendor is 1/20/15 unless he's logging in to look around incognito. Normally even people getting blasted will not be able to look away.

Well, update time folks. I STILL don't believe it, but by god I finally have my parts back. He never touched the "fix" he was supposed to make but that's fine I can do it myself at this point.

Sucks that it took me opening a complaint with the attorney gen. of Kentucky, but so be it. I've since texted him but still no answering - he owes me a triple stick shifter and boot kit still but at least it is easier to stomach just getting screwed for THAT only now.

At least I can get back to work on my rig finally....

Time to resurrect this dead post with another update! I've finally gotten around to putting everything together and reworking the parts sent for triple shift kit he only delivered half the stuff for. In the end, he stiffed me for the triple stick shifter set, plus the boot kit and knobs. :angry1: Whatever... He's a pathological liar and a thief but fortunately the strong box itself is a really cool, well made piece. I really think him trying to get into selling all the peripherals and stuff is partly what broke him. (Or maybe it was that meth habit!!??) :smokin2::smokin2:

Here's the *almost* finished setup:
(excuse me if this doesn't work, just learning this new site format!)

Now the next thing I gotta do is order the shifters from someplace like JB custom fabrication. Love the nice slick triple billet shifter set they have. Hate having to spend the coin TWICE but so be it... Time to get this project rolling soon!

File a complaint through the credit card company if possible. Thats what my friend did who ordered one for his XJ. He got all his money back

the cable setup and hardware pictured is from behemoth? Interesting that the crawl box cable runs forward. Are the T-case cables long enough?

JB's shifters are really nice, I'll be running his triple cable sticks with my Northwest Fab Eco box.

It's too bad it didn't work out, he was building a cool product.

I think I'm gonna be screwed in that department. Its been way too long now. This whole disaster goes back nearly 2 years totally now. I paid for some stuff in Paypal too. But its worth a look maybe to investigate the time limits.

The cables and some of the hardware were from Behemoth. I had to fab the stuff for the mounts at the transfer case rails, but the mount running forward at the crawl box he provided. The fact it runs forward is somewhat my fault. It is the only rational configuration I could even guess at with the stuff he'd sent, and I had no pics or any help whatsoever leftover that I could find for BTD products and somebody running his shift cable kit. (God knows if such a person even exists to this day). I think the t-case cables will be long enough. They are 48" cables and I have the ending location somewhat close to where I think it will end up in the cab, but time will tell. I think I'll still be able to get far enough forward to avoid the 12" of min. bend allowance.

Agree... I still say that Jacob really seemed like a nice dude, but man... I have no idea what kind of personal crap he must have had going on in his life or what not but he was a TERRIBLE business man.

I'm interested to see how those cable lengths work for you, I've been holding off buying mine until I figure that out. I thought JB Fab had a kit for for the BTD box? Not that it matters anymore.....

Yea, its not too simple to figure out where the cables will end up until you have something mocked up. But looking at the openings for the transmission shifter and the stock transfer case shifter in the cab, I was able to measure and get the cable ends pretty close to where I know they will end up. Even if they don't, I won't mind hacking up the cab floor a little. Its kinda tricky because I can see if the cables were also too long, it would be hassle there too.

When I bought all my stuff from BTD, he just sent 48" cables with the "kit" so hopefully he knows it works well for a typical square body. And yes, you're right JB does have a kit for the BTD stuff, but all I need is strictly the shifters since those are the pieces he stiffed me on.

Are you planning on running a bench seat?

For time being, yes. #1 priority at the moment is to finally get this rig rolling with the massive amount of changes I've done on it. At this point, I basically don't give a damn if I even have to hold the stupid shifter assemblies in my hand to drive this rig out of my garage again for the first time in years.

I know this all too well. NWF screwed me on my cable shifters, so my 1st trip out was with a big hole in the floor, a 203 shifter made from a tcase support rod (it broke off about 3/4 through the day) and my passenger using two big punches to shift the 205 rails

@Highpsi how long is that 465/BTD box/205 setup overall? I noticed you're running the long round adapter from a 465-208/241 and was just wondering. Thanks in advance.

Scott

I'll try to get that measurement soon! I split the transfer case off the back and mounted it up in with the transmission the other day, so its in the truck now. Since the NP205 is shorter with the non slip joint style output I'm hopeful that it won't add that much overall length to things.
