I think building an A-team van, but make it 4x4, would be excellent.
My brother had a 4X4 Chevy Van for about twenty years. It was a '76 with a 400 SB and 400 tranny and 1-ton running gear. I actually never looked under it though to see what TC and axles it had. It also had an small RV gas heater. All from a dealer or conversion place. I wanted it, but we don't get along that well.............
Probley wouldn't be too hard too build one yourself. I'd like too have a 4X4 van, that'd be a cool rig if trails aren't too tight. Might be a little top heavy though.
my g/f's dad loves vans. Hes got a 3/4 ton one right now with a 400, and a 14sf. Thing is sweet b/c he has headers true duals, and magnaslows on it. It gets up and goes.
how bout somethin like this... a buddy of mine....
There's a Chevy 4x4 van for sale here in town. Looks like it has 2 diffs in front. I believe they owner wants 2500 for it.
You need the "Vee Drive"...........
seen one for sale...
On the Boston craigslist there was a factory 4x4 "Pathfinder" 1985 G10 van for sale for 1500 bucks in NH!...wish I had the money,I'd buy it and swap the interior from my 81 G10 into it,and send mine to its final resting place..If I could hang a plow on it,I wouldn't need my 82 K20 anymore..could "do it all" with ONE vehicle!--camping,haul friends to swap meets and concerts, plow,be able to go anywhere without worrying if it snows,etc....and if it had a 6.2 in it,so much the better!..
