To make a 3 1/2 hour story short, I failed to replace the electric fuel pump on the Chevy truck and it died in traffic (it was dark to boot). I didn't have a spare fuel pump with me, so I tried to bang on it but to no avail. Also, this is the truck with the missing teeth on the flywheel so I had the extra fun of having to turn the crank with a 1" wrench for 50% of the attempts. Finally, I called a tow truck (with my calling card--I was broke (and hungry)) and he arrived after 90 minutes. It had to be a flatbed because tires are 38.5 Swampers. It was $100; I should have spent that on a fuel pump before it failed. Not fun!
