can i fit 33 12.50 15 on a stock 82 k5 and if not what cutting is nessary.
33's can be run but will rub with articulation. itll rub the drag link at the pitman arm at right hand lock. With factory wheels. 31's are the size to run if you dont want any big probs.

I run 31x13.50's and yes they do rub a tiny bit when backing up at full articulation. They look good on stock.
And Yes I know.... "Look out little boy".
89 K5 Silverado
I ran 33s with no lift for about 5 months before I put my lift on and they didn't rub. It depends on the truck. there are some that will fit them and some that wont. If you dont know what will fit a good tire shop will usually test fit the tires on the truck for free. I know some rub with 31s but others can fit 33s. It must depend on the suspension or year or something. My advice is to have them test fitted first.
Nope,I think not I have a 2.5 inch lift with 33 swampers and a I still rub!
Will also depend on wheel width, and tire brand. Had 33x12.50 on 8 1/2 inch wide wheels [bfg a/t tires]on my 89. Only rubbed at full lock to the right. But my 87 needed 2inch lift for 33's. No rubbing.
I had 33 in MT's on mine and it rubbed under hard turns and bad articulation and that was with the fenders notched out.
I would stick with used 31's until you can afford or swap for a lift.Just my tew sense.
33's on my 89, never rubbed.
