Blazenoffraod Weld in Sliders

Here is how it went down...I tried to copy the instructions listed on the Blazenoffraod site (a link back to CK5), but realized that dude only has one floor, his sub floor is totally gone...Had I to do it over again, I would have cut the rocker below the door line adn welded the slider in there. As it stands, I cut out the entire rocker (just like the instructions), welded in the slider, then, cut, bent and smashed the sub floor into place and welded it to the bottom of the slider...plenty strong.

I posted this in case anybody else was about to do this, thought it might help.

since the floor was messsed up, do the new rockers/sliders sit higher than they would on a truck with good floors? If not, those make a pretty good breakover angle increase at the body.
 
These floors sit very close to where teh original floor was, less than a 1/4 inch off...although the lip for the weather stripping was gone...If anything, the more stock the truck, the more straight lines to follow, therefore the easier this would have been.
