Don't drink beer, but a powerade would work, trying not to drink soda too.

yes, But I bet mine is torqued on the trailer at my house. :P
I can't seem to find the pitman arm on mine. Maybe someone could show me where it is during tech.
Mostly under the seat I think. Sometimes right behind the oil pressure gauge, or something like that

I'm sorry without a properly torqued pitman arm your vehicle is not ready for trails the caliber of Moab. However we will allow you to play in the BFE parking lot area, however only after you have successfully attended the driving clinic and passed the quiz.

Yes. A couple of slightly sloshed ck5'ers thought to check theirs. Then started checking others. A number of them were loose. May have been the torque wrench operators though.

yes, the proper torque, iirc, is ~190 ftlb, we went walking through slickrock with a torque wrench, and did not find one that was tight.
Short answer, NO.
Wade has the story about as correct as it gets. I have not seen, nor experienced one single pitman arm issue at BB or anywhere that I can recall.
I think it really was one set of guys personal crusade one year. Not saying it was wrong but could have been approached way different.
I for one would be pissed if someone started checking torque on fastners on my vehicle without my consent.
I think it was done in good fun. They checked theirs and found them loose. Then thought to check a couple more. The story just got better as it went along.
