Blazer build with pics

Okay instead of buying a higher grade pulley I bought a longer one and ran it around the water pump and the power steering. It didn't flip over or anything so I think I've fixed it. Drove the blazer on the highway drove great! Cruised at 2000 around 60-65 mph. Another strange thing was that my tranny wasnt kicking down when I floored it. I changed the oil today to full synth and now it works great? Changing the oil must've fixed it i have no idea why but I'm glad it works perfect now. Also changed engine and both diffs oil.
I'm in highschool and I'm pretty upsesed with the blazer so I work on it alot johny, dont feel lazy haha.

Hello again everyone! Took the k5 out to Fenoff Pa a big quarry on the top of a mountain. It was a great little testing ground for the maiden voyage. Pics! Couldn't go to nuts, don't have a jack, spare tire, or a way to air the tires back up. Dc'd the swaybar and went to town.

Nothing with the blazer itself really, mostly just need all those extra things like a spare at this point. Beadlocks would be nice.

Looks great! Sound like your down to just a few minor things. Can't wait till i'm as close as that. Thing looks mean!!!

looks fun.im close to getting mine out of the garage.i had to rebuild a lot of the rocker box when replacing the rockers.im hoping to be road worthy by the end of the month.

The K5 has really turned out great :waytogo: excellent job. I can't wait untill I get to drive mine, I guess that means I need to actually find time to work on it though :doah:.

nice rig. does the trailer hitch drag? mine isnt as low as yours and i hate it, im gonna pull it off, im sticking it in the ground everytime i go wheeling, i have a factory skid plate for my fuel tank, i thought all k5's came with them?

I've only wheeled once so far and didn't have any problems with it. I mostly have it there because it makes for a nice tow point. My tank doesn't have a skid not sure why, was like that when I bought it but the hitch is nice to have low so I don't have to worry about the tank.

Skid Plates were an option on a K5

On my 86 it was NY1 fuel tank & skid plate shield $170.00, that is form the window sticker.

Hey everyone. Been daily driving this thing, getting lots of attention :). Well now that this things done I'm not sure what to do next. I want to keep working on cars and trucks. I wan't to build something fast but maybe I should just keep pouring money and time into the blazer... I like it the way it is... Either way I'm going to build an engine this summer I'm thinking 6.0. I'm just not sure if I want to build an engine for the blazer or maybe something more sporty. The blazer's a dog and I wanna go fast and a big truck like this with a ton of power on the road could be dangerous. Maybe a third gen camaro... Not really sure. What do yall think?

Build an engine for the Blazer and drive it slow.

Tickets suck when you're young and insurance is expensive anyway.

How do you like your rear shocks inboarded? I've read that it decreased dampening and want to know what your impression is after installing on your rig.

I didn't drive it a whole lot before the inboard but I can tell you it bounces around quite a bit over speed bumps etc... I drive it slow anyways so it doesn't bother me.
