Blazer build with pics

I don't think they will let you run 2 different plates. Why would you want to anyways?

 Hey now...what's wrong w/ us "northerners" :D

Looking good , keep it up :waytogo:

I think the plate looks kind a cool too. I say run it up front until someone tells you different. As long as you're not doing too much wrong:D I don't think anyone will be to hard on you-Just make you take it off.

Nothing wrong with ya'll. Just that rust stuff ya'll have to deal with, glad mine never really got any cancer.

Things are just bigger and better in Texas.

haha well said teck, not a ton done today, but I'm glad to say everything axles is done.
Put the 38's on because I dont have any crappy tires to put on the back. Also, does anyone have some wagon wheels they'd sell me, or can tell me where I can buy wagon wheels? I'm trying to find a set. Didn't see any on CL.

Looks real good. Hope to start on my running gear soon.

are you still running two different spring plates on the rear? who are the 1/4 or 3/8 plate steel C shaped plates made by? also theres nothing in the PA state inspection manual that says you can't have another states license plate on the front of your vehicle as a vanity plate as long as you have your real plate on the back. im running an old PA farm truck plate on the front of mine as a vanity plate... its the old navy blue and yellowish gold style.

nice build btw, i like how you took the time to pay attention to details like taking the springs apart and painting them. i can't wait to see it once its all back together. are you using grade 8 hardware to replace the factory rivets on your frame? are your wheels 16.5's or 16's and are your tires TSL's or TSL radials?

Hey thanks, the spring plates in the rear are by ORD. The front spring plates are just junk. Thanks for the clarification on the license plate. Yeah I'm using all grade 8 stuff. The wheels are 16.5's and the tires are tsl sx and I'm pretty sure they arent radials.

Hey, long time since last update, the goings been slow lately but a lot has been done in the past few days.
Remember that old 350?

Well we gave it a little tlc and it looks great, also replaced the fuel pump oil filter tv cable harmonic dampener headers power steering pump and engine mounts.

The trans is back from getting beefed up. And they're bolted together. Longer dowel pins where used which squared it up great, had to put long bolts in and use them to pull the trans into the engine due to the new pins being so machined to fit the holes. Also, got the shocks in the mail. Of course after waiting 3 weeks they sent the incorrect valving, 170 by ??. They where used to square up the ford towers and bolt the inboarding kit ( from diy4x ) in. QUESTION : can these softer shocks be run without a lot of problems, we are dying to get this thing running and the last thing we want is to wait 4 weeks for different shocks.

Also got the brakes, and almost fuel lines squared away.

Bolted the ord sway disconnect kit, and new sway bushings in.

Got a new rubber trans mount. QUESTION: The military rear bumper tow clamp, does this work well for pulling people out who are stuck? I am a little skeptical after seeing that it doesn't bolt to the frame in places that seem strong. Like behind the gas tank on that crossmember, it bends easily.

Anyway, in the following weeks we need to get the electrical mess worked out, and do interior work such as weld floors together. Also need to bolt the tcase up (no gasket for it on us atm).

Great pictures. It's very interesting to see how this is going. Did you do any mods to the engine? You are my god!
