I just happen to see this on craigslist. It's not mine and I don't have any information on it. It seems like I've seen some guys looking for these: http://springfield.craigslist.org/ctd/3849173064.html
Yep.
It's serial #0896, built in 12/76, been for sale since early March. But for as many as I might be able to catch, I do miss others since my search system is no where near perfect, so I won't discourage anyone for alerts about 'em...Need to get the number off the camper....
True, it can be done, and sometimes has to be done when the trucks are too rusty to save. But there are orphaned camper units scattered around the country, so no particular need to pull a camper unit off a good Blazer. Taking one off is quite a chore, though, and as I mentioned over in this post, ya can't yank 'em loose by tying 'em to a tree.can you pull the camper off these things?
And whats wrong with a red Chalet?

Another Blazer/Chalet on Craigslist (in Los Angeles): http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/ctd/3944584839.html
PM sent...PM me if you need me to swing by the place...

with it.Found another one for you. I didn't see it listed on the FS list that was recently updated. Supposedly this one is S/N #0302. I asked for pics but he said he didn't have any for some reason.

Plausible, if one of the trucks pulled off the line for the conversion was that way to begin with, sorta like one seller claimed he had a factory 454 in his Jimmy Casa Grande. The brochures sez 3-speed or 4-speed on the back page, but I don't offhand think I've run across any that weren't automatics....Was there ever a factory 4 speed Chalet sold?...
