Alright, the time has come to replace the window rubber for the solid side glass on the top for my Blazer. It unfortunately leaks terribly, as the rubber is dry rotted, and I almost wish I would have left the soft top on for the winter.

My question is has anyone used the LMC rubber with success? I noticed they have two different part numbers, one for deep tinted glass and one for clear, would that mean the glass is a different thickness if it's deep tinted?
I looked at the Precision replacement rubber and there's only one part number but it's three times the price, although I have no problem spending the extra money if the part is legit.

I have never heard anything good about LMC seals.

Did you check with Jon Addington? I replaced everything but the side window glass with precision seals from him.

I'm not confident that I installed the cab to top seal properly either. It would be worth double checking that one.

Is it better to order from Jon rather than directly from Precision's website?

Yes, you are supporting a small business, he typically sells it cheaper, and he stocks everything for Chevy trucks at his home in Sultan.

It's also very convenient for me to pick it up and not have to pay shipping too, but he ships all over the world.

I will shoot Jon a call and have him set me up.
I am also talking to my local glass guy to see what he will charge to do the seal swap. I don't want to risk breaking the glass.

Local glass guy called me after I texted him some pics, and said just to pop out the lock strip, clean up the rubber and apply some SIKA 714, between the glass and rubber, and between the top and rubber.
How nice to get some free advice from a company.

Try Steele Rubber that Stacy David use on his show gears!

I broke my side window trying to put it back in with new seals, even though broken the glass guy was able to get it back in without furthering my screw up, and got the other side in just fine (with LMC seals). I don't like LMC because: ZERO quality control over anything they ship out, and shipping is often more expensive than the cost of the part itself. Support small businesses when you can!

So I don't know if i told you! But Steele rubber product on Stacy david show gears!

I think I saw this on CK5. Someone developed an adapter for the SoftTop so that you didn't have to drill holes in the front header (windshield).
Does anyone know who I can contact about this? TIA!
