Anybody ever put a Blower on a mud truck? I can't imagine it would make much of a problem if the blower got a coating of mud but i figured id check before I started kicking around the idea of getting one. I can't think of anything more cool then putting a 671 polished blower on my truck . But my concerns are still trying to do some mudding and off roading, and also having to much power. What do you guys think?

what kinda motor?? and how deep of mud i dunno im not a HUGE mud fan myself so me personally i wouldnt do it cause mud does mess alot of stuff up, but on a trail snow or rock rig a blower would be decent. Lots of torque which is decent why not just build up a big cube BBC??? or buy a crate 502 offroad motor 460hp 552ft/lbs of torque? and warranty!!!!! lol just my 2 cents

I think mudjunkie82 did once but he hasn't posted on here for a long time now.

there is actually someone here more current that runs a blower.. wastedwages iirc?

The ole hotrodder in me loves any vehicle with forced induction... mudtruck being the only real app with our trucks... low rpm, torquey trail-riding is not where it'll shine...

mud "on" the blower isn't the issue, mud "in" the blower most certainly could be. But that concern has to be addressed on any mudder...

heat will be more of a concern...

Well the engine is actually a 440 mopar in a 77' chevy. Right now its around 500 hp and 600 torque. I think the main problem will be having to much power. I mean if the blower breaks so what I rebuild it, I can live with that. But, if I have 700 hp and im snapping driveshafts and blowing out my t-case every mile then that's definetly not worth it. So, I tihnk if I do it I need to find out how much hp is to much and figure out if i can have a blower and still be under that number.
The rest of the truck is a np-435(dodge) tranny, D60's, 8" suspension lift and 38's.
