This may be a dumb question but how do you know if a speaker is blown?
Well ... Check for tears. If the speaker sounds muffled it's most likely blown.
If you can put an ohm-meter across the "+" and "-" terminals you will typically see 0 Ohms......indicating that the voicecoil has had a catastrophic meltdown......
You can also tell if you see smoke coming out of the speaker......once that happens, you have to send it back to the manufacturer to have new smoke installed!!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
