Has anyone had the pleasure of rotted past re-use "sleeve"s in the body mount bushings? Especially the radiator core support pair? I swapped an 89 front clip onto my 85 'burban and out of all 4 mount sleeves 1 is intact in shape but still just so many layers of rust. I have done a search and all I find is the rubber not a bit of the hardware. Where would you buy such an animal?!? I would be lucky to find 2 in a junkyard that aren't 97% rust let alone 10 in shape to re-use! I bought a kit for the whole truck but right now only need the front 2,I won't even dream of doing the rest until I have the crazy things in my hands!

They are only available when you buy the rubber bisquits from aftermarket sources--not sure if GM sells them separately,I doubt it....one day when we were assembling an old car at the junkyard we needed some of those sleeves,we had some good rubber mounts but all had the sleeves rotted to death--so we started looking for anything to shove in there like pipe,etc...ny co-worker saw some pistons lying in the scrap pile and he drove one of the wrist pins out,and ta-da,it fit perfect!..we had a whole set of 8 ,so our search was over!...

Well aparently I missed LMC in my search DOH!! I just found the complete kit, including all hardware, while none of the other kits I found had the bolts, washers, etc. I got mine from Performance Accessories and all it had was 4 flat washers. Wrist pins you say? Did it matter that the sleeve was oval/oblong and the wrist pin was round? I may have to go that route either way. Thanks guys

The car we had used round tubes for bushings,so pipe or wrist pins, etc could be substituted....oval ones could be a lot harder to come by!..maybe squash some pipe in a vise till its oval enough??......kinda sucks having to buy "everything" when you only need one part of a "kit"--IF they even have the parts available,period...we had to improvise a lot on antiques ,you cant always find NOS or aftermarket parts for!..

The core support cushions and lower retainers are still available from G.M. Upper cushions are 15597600, lower are 15597629, and the lower retainers are 14027472.

Sorry, I just figured out which ones you where asking about.
gmpartsdirect.com shows all three.

list sell
14027472 $11.50 $6.73
15597600 $21.55 $12.55
15597629 $16.48 $9.78

Thanks guys. I may just have to improvise the core mounts for now and get the right kit,the one with ALL the sleeves/retainers,later and sell the rubbers only kit I already bought.
