What are the symptoms of worn out body mounts? I'm trying to track down a clunking noise. I get a clunk/pop sometimes when I turn into the driveway, but I can reproduce it most of the time by jacking up under one side of the rear axle. As I jack it up, I can hear something groaning up there, then it sort of clunks like something moving into a new position. Possibly body mount?

Just looking at them they don't seem all rotted out or anything, and the rubber bushings on my shackles were still in fine shape... /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

How big a job is body mount replacement anyway?

IMHO I would say body mounts or possibly swaybar bushings will cause the same sound as the body shifts. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
