Gutless wonder. Feel like I'm in a grandma's car. But atleast it's a Chevy.
how fast will it go, and are their any rail road tracks near by???+ does it have the parking brake lever between the seats?if so you just rented instant fun.thanks for reminding me by the by,i haven;t done that in 18 years.
I remember a Jeff Foxworthy quote that said "You have a Ford Festiva that's gonna see more air time than a skate board at the X-games"
Also, you could swipe a couple trays from McDonalds and do some e-brake donuts in an empty parkinglot
E-brake on floor. Not fast at all. Worse of all, it's got 2 too many doors !!!!!
this is what we do with front wheel drive cars around here, as far as im concerned, its the only thing there good for.
step 1. take 2 trays from wendy's
step 2. place trays in front of rear wheels.
step 3. drive onto trays.
step 4. lock up E-brake.
step 5. drive.
and you should have some fun sliding around, ive been knwon to do this for hours. drifting all the way around parking lots...
oh yeah, when the police show up, just let the E-brake down, and drive away...
'Bu's are awesome man, it has the 3.1 doesnt it? If so its downright quick for a POS... I know a member who can do anything with his company car 3.1 Malibu but I wont name names... *cough*John*cough*
a jelly bean??
What is it,a Cavalier???...They all look like jelly beans to me!...I saw a friend with a '04 Malibu--it looks like a GM truck grill on the front of it!..homely looking thing!--but he likes it,says it goes good, and is great on gas (30+mpg!)..guess looks aren't everything!..
The only name plate reads "Classic" . The rental has it as a 2005 Chevrolet Classic.
I love my Malibu, pretty quick, great on gas, roomy, great stereo potential
Thats an old gen malibu, probably has a 2.2 4-cyl in it, thats why its gutless.
This thing is so BORING !!!!!!!!!! Looks and feels like a old lady's car. BORING !!!!!!!!
I guess I am boring too I love my Malibu ('98) it has the V-6 and is electronically limited to 114 mph, speedo says 112 but my gps says 114 mine gets 30mpg at 85 too
What, because some butt ugly under powered 4-door rental car doesn't do it for me ???
They didn't have a rental with tint and a wing???
My wife just bought an 05 Malibu with the 2.2 in it. Good gas mileage, decent acceleration. I don't like it though, the steering wheel is too far away for my comfort. I'm 6'1" and by the time I get the seat moved back far enough for my legs, the steering wheel is a stretch. But, the wife loves it, and its her car. It gets over 30mpg commuting, much better than the 7-9 I get with my work rig.
Big wing, what are you talking about ?? I'm no ricer !!!!!! The Alero doesn't have a big wing, does that look like a big wing to you ??? I guess I just don't like a plain-jane 4-door sadan. I like the 2-door coupes with all leather inside the car. I like the preformance suspension of my car, I feel alot more body roll in this boring rental car going around curves the I do in the Alero. The Alero is no sports car by any means, but it handles way better then the rental.
Drive it like you stole it. Or upgrade to a GT.
My last rental was a 2005 Monte Carlo, Front wheel but pretty quick. I sure drove it like I stole it, First tank of gas I only got 110 miles out of it."34 gallon tank/ 3.25 mile to the gallon" I had fun with the week I had it, ended up crushing the muffler, ripping every rubber exhaust mount off, put several dents in the hood" friends doing hood slides? Cratered the passenger side fender, Scraped off most of the paint on the lower parts of the bumpers.... In the end I had to spend about 4 hours fixing it, used bailing wire to hold the exhaust back up, beat the passenger fender back out "as staght as could", had to use touch up spay paint on the bumpers. They I droped it of and got my $50 deposit back
It was a fun rental
