I searched but could not find the company that makes brackets so you can run 3/4T front brakes on a D60 to clear 15'' wheels. ANybody know who they are?

somewhat off topic...but with less than 3" BS you can run a 15" wheel on those, and with less than 4" you can grind the heck out of them safely and run a 15...it still gives you plenty of possibilities without having to take a hit and run smaller brakes.

I have 4.25" backspacing wheels on a d60.. took a whole afternoon of grinding, but it all works just fine now. Get a big grinder (7" or larger)... makes it go a whole lot quicker.

Dude... I did search and that was the exact thread i was looking for, just could not find it. Thanks for all the help.

Next question, how much of a braking difference would i see from the factory D60 brakes to using HD 3/4T brakes (80 chev 3/4ton 10b camper special). I run hydroboost and disc in the rear already. I would hate to loose out on the added braking of the D60 cal/rotors but really not sure if i need it. I like the idea of adding some brackets and bolting on the calipers which are already there, No fuss no muss, VS grinding and bleeding again.

3/4ton, 3/4ton HD, 1/2ton all use the same calipers, so theres gona be a pretty substantial difference in braking power.

Hmm, i was always under the impression that the camper specials, etc. had bigger brakes. Maybe it is just in the rear with the big drums on the 14bff?

yea probably the 13" brakes instead of the 11" ones. whats ur reason for wanting to run the smaller brakes for 15's? you can grind and be fine with the d60 calipers. thats what i ran with 3" BS and had minor grinding and never had any issues

I just thought i would save myself some hassle and get the brackets then i could reuse my calipers and bolt in the d60 and go. I was hoping i would not have to grind, repad, rebleed the d60. I run 4.25BS so i will be doing alot of grinding.

you dont need to rebleed the 60. i ground the calipers down while it was on the axle.

i believe the 60 im pickin up in a couple weeks has the brackets ment for 15" wheels, which i dont need. pm me and we can discuss if you are interested

what size tire are you going to be running?

I will need to rebleed when i install the 60 and calipers. Have the 10b ground cals. on there and would not need to rebleed if i was to reuse them.

PM sent.

I run 36'' tires.
