I am just curious if anyone else has a problem with their master cylinder leaking. Mine has leaked since I got my 82 Blazer about 4 years ago. It looks like it leaks from the top down, not where it connects next to the firewall. I have just kept filling it up when it gets low but it is getting annoying. The blazer brakes just fine as far as I can tell. If anyone needs pictures I can try to get some.. Other than that thanks for the help..
PS I have replaced the rubber gasket but that didnt' help at all..

Have you thought about replacing it?
it sounds like you are getting back pressure, that means your pressure is coming back and no matter what you have to seal it it will leak.
Either that or your proportionning valve is blocked.
But I would say the MC and after 4 years I think I would replace it.

Mine started doing this when I put on a new master cylinder. I think it's a bad cover, but I haven't replaced it. I think they sell replacement covers at most retail auto parts establishments.
