Has any one ever heard of a tristar brand CB and if so what antenna would you recomend using with it? I have a tristar 240 it has all of the bells and whistles i think but have never found an antenna that doesn't light up the antenna warning indicator light. maybe some of you can shed some light on the subject. Thanks!

The antenna warning light I assume means the SWR is improperly set. You should get a SWR meter and tune the antenna. Too high of an SWR can cook the radio internals.

Do you have a manual for the radio? You should be happy with a Wilson 1k or 5k magnet mount antenna.

If tuning the SWR doesn't help, ask around your local area to find a competent CB shop who can take a look at it for you and find what the problem is...
