What causes the crank to break? Is there anything you could do to prevent it?
From what I understand it's usually a bad balancer that causes crank breakage.
Where is the balancer located? How would you know if is bad?
It's located on the front side of the block and has the lower belt pulley bolted to it. It also has your timing mark on it /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
