anybody know what texas law states about bumpers? are they necessary, height, size?
I don't think you need one by law. /forums/images/icons/confused.gif /forums/images/icons/confused.gif
You don't need a rear one, but I'm not sure about the front. i thought all vehicles were required to have a 5MPH bumper, but could be wrong. For the rear, you don't have to have a bumper, but you must have an illuminated license plate.
FWIW I was pulled over by a trooper w/out my front bumper and he didn't say anything about it......and I only got a warning! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
Texas doesnt have a bumper law . Its uses the height of the lights . The headlights can be no higher than 56 inches . Rear tail lights no higher than 72 inches. If you are over 80 inches wide not counting mirrors your side marker lights have to work.
