Yesterday my trans stopped shifting in my 90' Suburban 4x4 w/ 700-R4, because of excessive clutch material gumming up the valves, and the clutches are blew out(DUH /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif ). Well, I got to goto school on Monday(3 hr drive). So today, I removed the tranny from the burban today. I bought this 84' K-5 4x4 with a 305/700r4 in it for $250, so I have started removing that tranny but it got dark out. My question /forums/images/icons/confused.gif is, what is the difference between the 84' 700R4, and a 90' 700R4? I hope it will bolt to my Suburban and work, or else I am SOL!
