Burbs and Spare Tires

When I get my tires(285/75R16 BFGs) in April, I am going to get a matching spare. I don't mind the location of the stock spare carrier inside the truck, however it squeaks.

I know it sounds wierd but bumping around it squeaks bad.. and it drives me nuts. No matter how tight I get it, it squeaks Tire seems tight, but it still squeaks on bumpy roads.

Looks like it'll fit just fine, but the slightly bigger and heavier tire won't help it any..

cover it with carpet or something so it the tire does not come in contact with metal

The carpet tire cover is the key. Works on my junk.
