Look at it here.
Hea, Hea....AS IS - NO WARRANTY
The add says 0 miles but it also says
1988 Race car, Chevy Winston Cup Super Sport Budweiser Super Speedway race car with BANJO suspension driven by Terry La Bonte. This baby has been in a museum, but runs and drives great at present time! Lots of car for the money
Look, you can get a helmet too. Now all you need is a towrig and its off to the races.
What he doesn't say is that the 8 Cyl engine is actually a "Visible V8" Model.
you shure? looks like a real motor to me, oil in all the right places, unless someone went through allot of effort to make a fake engine look real
That car may have a lot of history behind it. It may have been a race winner for Terry. The 88 Monte Carlo was also the last of its kind. The Monte Carlo SS rolled into the 1988 season as the longest-running, most successful nameplate in NASCAR Winston Cup history. It led Chevrolet to five consecutive Winston Cup Manufacturers’ Championship, and won 95 of 183 races since it first took to the track in 1983. Monte Carlo was replaced by the lumina in 89.
Terry Labonte is a great driver. I rember when he drove the 11 car for Junior Johnson. He was always in the top 10 in cup points and won the Winston race that year(88). In 88 he was# 4 in points.
The reason they say milage is 0 is becuase race cars dont have a spedo. But looking at the car it it is obvious it has been raced. Engine looks totally real and authentic to me.
Back then race teams didn't have the huge budgets they have now. Most only had 2 or 3 cars and engines. So chances are Terry spent a lot of time in that car.
Doesn't seem over priced to me. Prolly would be a good investment
wow,in 88 i was smashing through the woods and pitching woo with my girl friend.i never watched nascar then.trucks only for me back then.
it also says
so there's no guarantee that its not someones Saturday night special that they've rebodied to look like an '88 LaBonte car.
Just my dry humor, I'm sure it's real enough.
I know what I would do if I had a car like that....................
