How far is it on your setup from the middle of the hole in the block to the top of the frame rail? Just looking for a close estimate.

The top of the frame rail is 2" above the bolt hole you think? I was figuring about an inch would be fairly close.

Re: Caddy big block guys. Have a question for you?

Mine is still in the garage in process. Sorry cant be of much help.

Re: Caddy big block guys. Have a question for you?

sorry i was wrong on my guess the top of the top hole were the motor mount bolts in is dead level w/ the top of the frame. headers were a tight fit had to modify them to clear the d-shaft on the d-side, cause it hung so low.

Re: Caddy big block guys. Have a question for you?

Thanks boz42. Heard the exact same from another guy so that helps a bunch. I should be able to post pics of my mounts hopefully by the end of the weekend. Will be pretty close to complete.

That's pretty clean. Is yours solid mounted? Hard to see from the pics if there is bushings in there.

it has bushings. i bought spring eye bushing assemblies from ORD that had 1.75" dom for the outside tube. they were too wide to fit between the caddy engine mount plates so i took them & narrowed up the bushing assembly a bit so they would fit. the rest of the tubing is 120 wall 2" dom. i am happy w/ how it turned out. /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

That's pretty slick. I like how you used the tubing to wrap around the pan.

Looks like you had to notch the frame. Clearance for the drag link?
